To the powerful sound of the chalemie and the bagpipe, to the soft sound of the flute, to the rhythmic sound of the hurdy-gurdy and the drum, Les Pieds Gauches invite you to enter the dance!
We are an ensemble of musicians and dancers based in Switzerland. Our repertoire includes dances drawn from medieval and Renaissance historical sources and reconstructions. Our musicians play on reproductions of historical instruments. Our costumes are hand-cut and hand-sewn from 15th century iconography.
An offshoot of the Compagnie Saint-Georges, Les Pieds Gauches performed for the first time at the Grandson Castle in 1994. Since then, we have performed at medieval festivals and markets in Switzerland and abroad. We also animate events such as weddings or banquets. Our goal is to offer an immersive living history experience.
Our lively dances will transport you into a festive medieval atmosphere.
